Now, listen carefully! Step by step! Don’t mess up! I explain slow, okay?
- Marinate the Protein: Mix your chosen protein with a little soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Make protein happy!
- Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside. Taste! Adjust if needed!
- Cook the Protein: Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add a little oil. Stir-fry the protein until cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside. Don’t overcook!
- Stir-fry the Vegetables: Add a little more oil to the wok. Stir-fry the vegetables until tender-crisp. Don’t let them get soggy!
- Combine Everything: Add the cooked protein back to the wok. Pour the sauce over everything. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Serve: Serve over cooked rice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
